23. Adam Turnbull. Born on 1st July 1829/31 in Renton. Adam died in Craighead Milton of Campsie on 15th March 1896, he was 66. Occupation: Confectioner.

On 16th December 1853 when Adam was 24, he married Elizabeth Kirkpatrick, in Bonhill. Born abt 1830 in Bonhill.

They had one child:

24. Matthew Turnbull. Born on 2nd July 1831 in 1 Wrights Lane Dumbuck Bonhill. Matthew died in Combination Poorhouse Dumbarton on 14th March 1885, he was 53. Occupation: Calico Block Printer. Religion: Protestant.

On 14th February 1852 when Matthew was 20, he married Martha McGifford, daughter of James McGifford & Mary Ann Bovell, in Bonhill. Born abt 1830. Martha died in Columbie Carstairs on 8th July 1894, she was 64.

They had the following children:

		i.	Matthew. Born in 1854. Matthew died in 167 Renfrew Road Govan (Poorhouse) on 20th September 1908, he was 54. Occupation: 1869 sailor 1908 Shipyard Labourer. On 30th December 1874 when Matthew was 20, he married Agnes Kerr, daughter of Daniel Kerr & Elizabeth Blain Agnew, in 12 Brighton Place Govan. Born abt 1857 in Kirkholm Stranraer.
		ii.	Mary Ann. Born abt 1854. Mary Ann died in 145 Crossloan Road Govan on 30th November 1907, she was 53. Occupation: 1869 Millworker. On 10th April 1874 when Mary Ann was 20, she married James Paul, son of James Paul & Margaret McArthur, in 89 Walkinshaw Street Bridgeton Glasgow. Born abt 1854.
		iii.	James Alexander. Born on 11th October 1855 in Alexandria.
		iv.	Margaret. Born on 25th November 1857 in Alexandria.
		v.	Adam. Born abt 1860. Adam died in Belvidere Hospital Glasgow on 27th October 1875, he was 15.
		vi.	Martha. Born on 18th April 1863 in Alexandria. Martha died on 5th February 1864 in Bank Street Alexandria.
		vii.	Catherine. Born on 5th January 1865 in Random Street Alexandria. Catherine died in Alexandria on 9th November 1867, she was 2.
		viii.	Elizabeth Gibson. Born on 6th February 1868 in Main Street Alexandria.
		ix.	Agnes. Born on 17th January 1870 in 65 Dale Street Bridgeton Glasgow. Agnes died on 9th February 1870 in 65 Dale Street Bridgeton Glasgow.
		x.	William. Born on 9th January 1871 in 13 Howard Street Bridgeton Glasgow.
