Family of Matthew Turnbull (27) & Agnes Riddell

34. William Turnbull. Born on 3rd February 1874 in Rutherglen. Occupation: Mason.

On 31st December 1895 when William was 21, he married Maggie Lawley, daughter of Robert Lawley & Maria Trimball, in 29 Hozier Street Bridgeton Glasgow. Born abt 1873.

They had one child:
i. Matthew. Born on 20th August 1897 in 21 Fielden Street Bridgeton Glasgow.

35. Robert Turnbull. Born on 7th January 1878 5:30pm in Stonelaw Street Rutherglen. Robert died in Southern General 1301 Govan Road on 17th July 1947, he was 69. Buried on 21st July 1947 in Sandymount Cemetery. Occupation: Chairmaker. Religion: Church of Scotland.

On 29th October 1897 when Robert was 19, he first married Jessie McLean, in 4 Graham Street Bridgeton. Born on 15th September 1878 at 7pm in Burnside Kilsyth. Jessie died in Belvidere Hospital on 10th January 1907 8.40 am, she was 28.

They had the following children:
i. Matthew. Born on 15th February 1898 in 60 Franklin Street Bridgeton Glasgow. Matthew died in 16 Howard Street Bridgeton Glasgow on 6th March 1899, he was 1.
ii. Alexander McLean. Born on 28th October 1899 in 192 Dalmarnock Road. Alexander McLean died in 2 Lizzieville Place Rutherglen on 11th April 1901 4am, he was 1.
iii. Agnes Riddell. Born on 14th January 1902 in 689 Dalmarnock Road Bridgeton.

On 2nd January 1931 when Agnes Riddell was 28, she married Francis Kayes, in St Constantine's Chapel Govan. Born on 3rd September 1904 in Linthouse Glasgow.
iv. Thomas Armstrong McLean. Born on 15th April 1904 in 689 Dalmarnock Road Bridgeton. Thomas Armstrong McLean died in Cameron Hospital Windygates Fife on 15th April 1988, he was 84. Occupation: Steel Fixer.
v. Rebecca Mathie. Born on 13th May 1906 6am in 5 Hozier Street Bridgeton. Rebecca Mathie died in 10 Savoy Street on 10th June 1908, she was 2.

On 25th December 1908 when Robert was 30, he second married Agnes Gibson, daughter of Elizabeth Gibson, in Bridgeton Glasgow. Born on 26th August 1882 23:50 in Old Manse Mauchline. Agnes died in 15 Millbrae Crescent Clydebank on 18th September 1969, she was 87.

They had the following children:
40 i. William Riddell (1909-2001)
ii. Elizabeth Gibson. Born on 6th September 1910 in 16 Savoy Street Bridgeton. Elizabeth Gibson died in 91 High Street Kirkaldy on 26th April 2000, she was 89. Occupation: Basket Maker.
41 iii. Robert (1912-2003)
iv. Catherine Gibson. Born on 24th January 1914 in 6 Savoy St Glasgow. Catherine Gibson died in 99 Prospecthill Circus Glasgow on 17th July 1992, she was 78. Occupation: French Polisher.

On 27th October 1933 when Catherine Gibson was 19, she married James Rodgers, son of John Rodgers Rodgers & Mary Crilley, in Guthrie Memorial Church Glasgow. Born abt 1909. James died in 252 Aitkenhead Road Glasgow on 23rd March 1971, he was 62.

43 vi. James Gibson (1921-2000)
vii. Jeanie Davidson. Born on 4th August 1922 in 6 Savoy St Glasgow. Occupation: Farm Worker ( Womans Land Army ).

On 15th June 1945 when Jeanie Davidson was 22, she married Cornelius Colin Lamb, son of Francis Lamb & Mary Ann Fox?, in Bridgeton West & Barrowfield Church.
viii. Mary. Born on 7th January 1927 in 6 Savoy St Glasgow. Mary died on 4th March 1927 in 6 Savoy St Glasgow.
