2. James Burns. Born ? 1816 in Ireland. James died in 17 Reid Street Bridgeton on 12th October 1875, he was 59. Buried in Janefield Cemetery (Common Ground). Occupation: Handloom Weaver.

On 21st February 1838 when James was 22, he married Jean/Jane Currie, daughter of Hugh Currie & Jane, in Glasgow. Born in 1822 in Ireland. Jean/Jane died in 17 Reid Street Bridgeton on 26th April 1876, she was 54.

They had the following children:

		i.	Mary. Born in 1846. Occupation: Cotton Weaver.
	3	ii.	Hugh (1850-1887)
		iii.	Margaret. Born on 8th August 1856 11pm in 27 Kerr Street. Margaret died in 17 Reid Street Bridgeton on 1st September 1863 4.30 am, she was 7.
		iv.	James. Born on 24th April 1859 2am in 53 Dalmarnock Street. James died in 17 Reid Street on 11th March 1862 2pm, he was 2.
		v.	Jane. Born on 13th December 1860 3pm in 8 McKechnie Street.
		vi.	James. Born on 17th August 1864 4.30pm in 17 Reid Street. James died in Belvidere Hospital on 19th December 1879 6am, he was 15. Occupation: Brassfounders Labourer.
