Family of Alexander Gibson (1) & Anne Richmond

2. Alexander Gibson. Born on 5th April 1798 in Mauchline. Occupation: Ploughman.

On 11th April 1814 when Alexander was 16, he married Susanna Gilmour, daughter of William Gilmour & Sarah Jamieson, in Ochiltree. Born on 20th April 1788 in Ochiltree. Susanna died in Riccarton Ayrshire on 14th July 1866, she was 78.

They had the following children:

	3	i.	Sarah (1814-1892)
		ii.	William. Born in 3 1817 in Ochiltree.
		iii.	Rachel. Born on 11th March 1817 in Palmerston/ Ochiltree.
	4	iv.	James (1819-1867)
		v.	William. Born in 20thJuly 1821 in Mauchline. Occupation: Labourer. On 11th September 1840 when William was 19, he married Mary Johnston, in Mauchline.
		vi.	Janet. Born on 13th June 1824 in Stair.
	5	vii.	Agnes (1830-1892)
