Family of Alexander Gibson (2) & Susanna Gilmour

3. Sarah Gibson. Born on 12th July 1814 in Ochiltree. Sarah died in Williamsfield Mauchline on 15th July 1892, she was 78.

On 21st October 1842 when Sarah was 28, she married James Alexander, son of John Alexander & Jane Orr, in Kilmarnock. Born abt 1815. James died in Loan Mauchline on 14th June 1883, he was 68.

They had the following children:
i. Susan. Born on 16th December 1842 in Kilmarnock. Susan died in Mauchline on 12th May 1861, she was 18.
ii. John. Born on 3rd May 1844 in Kilmarnock.
iii. James. Born on 25th September 1847 in Mauchline. James died in Mauchline on 29th May 1862, he was 14.
iv. Alexander Gibson. Born on 19th January 1850 in Mauchline. Alexander Gibson died in Westfield, Mauchline on 21st September 1907, he was 57. Buried in New Cemetery Mauchline. Occupation: Chair Manufacturer.

On 17th December 1869 when Alexander Gibson was 19, he married Agnes Davidson, daughter of John Davidson & Mary Dalrymple, in Mauchline. Born on 10th June 1852 in Mauchline. Agnes died in Mauchline on 14th September 1921, she was 69.
v. William. Born on 27th April 1852 in Mauchline. William died in Mauchline on 10th December 1859, he was 7. Buried in Mauchline Churchyard as Cert. by James Gibson Undertaker.
vi. Hugh. Born on 2nd February 1855 in Mauchline. Hugh died in Eastfield House Rutherglen on 10th July 1917, he was 62. Occupation: Chairmaker (Master).

On 2nd June 1876 when Hugh was 21, he married Agnes Wylie Wilson, daughter of Thomas Wilson & Marthe Jane McGill, in Cecil Place Govan.
vii. Robert. Born on 13th/15th December 1857 in Mauchline.

4. James Gibson. Born on 15th May 1819 in Mauchline Willockshill. James died in Mauchline on 27th May 1867, he was 48. Occupation: In 1840 was a servant at Mosshead // Quarryman. Religion: Protestant.

On 10th August 1860 when James was 41, he first married Agnes Willison, daughter of James Willison & Jean Jamieson, in Mauchline. Born in 1830 in Mauchline. Agnes died in 211 Dalmarnock Road Bridgeton on 2nd May 1893, she was 63.

They had the following children:
6 i. Ann (1860-1933)
7 ii. Elizabeth (1863-1926)
8 iii. Catherine (1867-1939)
iv. James. Born on 27th November 1869 in Mauchline. James died in 69 Mordaunt Street Bridgeton on 24th February 1946, he was 76. Occupation: Chairmaker.

On 27th November 1840 when James was 21, he second married Mary Arthur, daughter of William Arthur & Mary Frew, in Mauchline. Born abt 1819. Mary died in Haugh Yett Mauchline on 22nd December 1856, she was 37.

They had the following children:
9 i. Alexander (1841-<1929)
10 ii. Agnes (1843-1926)
iii. Susannah. Born on 30th July 1846 in Tarbolton. Susannah died in Lugar on 18th July 1920, she was 73.

On 29th January 1875 when Susannah was 28, she married David Stevenson, in Craigbank New Cummnock. Born abt 1841.
iv. James. Born in 1848 in Mauchline. James died in Haugh Mauchline on 28th April 1856, he was 8. Buried in Mauchline Churchyard.
11 v. Mary (1851-1934)

5. Agnes Gibson. Born on 27th April 1830 in Bennak,Tarbolton. Agnes died in Caprington Tile Work on 15th November 1892, she was 62.

On 3rd December 1852 when Agnes was 22, she married Thomas Johnston, in Failford, Tarbolton. Born in 1813 in Glasgow. Thomas died in Caprington Tile Work Riccarton on 20th December 1892, he was 79.

They had the following children:
i. James. Born on 20th April 1855 in Failford, Tarbolton.
ii. Susan. Born on 24th July 1857 in Failford, Tarbolton.
iii. Mary. Born on 26th June 1860 in Riccarton Ayrshire.
iv. Alexander. Born on 21st December 1863 in Riccarton Ayrshire.
v. William. Born on 13th July 1866 in Riccarton Ayrshire.
vi. John. Born on 23rd January 1869 in Riccarton Ayrshire.
vii. Janet. Born on 26th May 1871 in Riccarton Ayrshire.
