Family of Lancelot Collins (1) & Elizabeth Calderhead

2. John Collins. Born on 22nd December 1806. John died in Old Monkland Poorhouse on 10th September 1873, he was 66. Occupation: Soldier 42nd Regiment of Foot/Coalminer/Iron Miner/Pauper.

On 17th February 1828 when John was 21, he married Sarah Bonnar, daughter of Hugh Bonar & Hannah Hargans, in Abbey Paisley. Born abt 1812. Sarah died in Rosehall on 6th January 1868, she was 56.

They had the following children:

	3	i.	Lanclet or Lancelot (1832-1865)
		ii.	Elisabeth. Born on 5th April 1836 in New Monkland.
	4	iii.	Hugh McQueen (1838-)
	5	iv.	James Maltman (1842-1875)
		v.	Sarah. Born on 20th March 1845 in Old Monkland Lanark.
		vi.	Sarah. Born on 6th August 1846 in Carnbroe.
		vii.	Colin Lees. Born on 22nd August 1849 in Old Monkland Lanark. Colin Lees died in 141 Rosehall Colliery on 15th July 1861, he was 11.
		viii.	Alexander. Born on 3rd October 1852 in Calders.
		ix.	Hannah. Born on 27th July 1856 in New Rosehall Old Monkland Lanark.
